Don has been developing hockey players for over 20+ years from youth level through to the High School level. Don is a Level 4 Certified Coach with USA Hockey and understands the importance of developing kids and his expertise has placed several kids in Division 1 Colleges. During his playing career, he led the Saugus High Hockey Team to win 3 Northeast Conference Championships. Don was a Hockey Night In Boston elite prospect and went on to be a standout player and four-year Varsity Hockey Letterman at University of Connecticut, recipient of the 7th Player Award and ECAC All-Academic Team.
He was an assistant coach for the Saugus High Hockey Team while working as the Director of Skills for Bobby Orr & Gary Doak Hockey School. Member of the Wakefield Youth Hockey Board of Directors and has been a head coach for Wakefield’s Middle School Hockey Team. Don is going into his 4th season as an assistant coach at Essex Tech High School.
Don is the owner of Inside Edge training, an off-ice conditioning company that focuses on combining hockey functional conditioning (speed, power, strength) with hockey hands skills (stickhandling, shooting, passing) to achieve peak performance.

Nick Merryman, a proud North Shore native, currently resides in Gloucester, MA with his fiancé. He was a captain at Peabody High and an NEC All-Star before playing for Team Massachusetts and the Valley Jr. Warriors EHL team. After transitioning to a career in the biotech industry, where he still works today, Nick returned to Peabody High as the Varsity Assistant Coach for two seasons. He then went on to become the Head Coach of Malden Catholic’s JVB team. Nick is the founder of two companies in the sports and fitness industry, including a hockey league and development program, as well as a training facility in Middleton, MA. Now entering his 7th year coaching at the high school level, Nick remains dedicated to teaching and developing the game of hockey.

Greg played high school hockey at Melrose High, where he was team captain and Middlesex League All Star in 1991. Greg went on to play NE Division I Prep Hockey at Brewster Academy. After graduating from St Michael’s College in 1997, Greg began his professional career in finance where he still works today. In 2001, Greg began his hockey coaching career and has been a head coach, assistant coach and hockey skills coach for Elite and Tier 1 hockey programs in the Boston area. Greg has been part of the original American's coaching staff and is entering his 6th season as the Head Coach of the 2010 Elite team. Greg’s commitment to teaching the game of hockey and fostering a positive environment where his players will develop to their highest skill level will be the foundation of his Boston Americans team.
