Steve MacAdams is entering his 7th season as Player / Program Director with the Boston Americans. He is an accomplished professional with more than 30 years of progressive coaching experience. He comes with a strong reputation in player and program development where he has worked with numerous players and organizations throughout the United States.
He previously served as director of operations for Paul Vincent’s Dynamic Skating Ltd., one of the top hockey consulting and development camps in the United States. MacAdams, a two-year captain at Salem State College, has coached from the youth level through the Junior and college ranks. Recently, MacAdams’ has coached the Valley Jr. Warrior ’97 and ’02 Elite team, who have won the Massachusetts Select Championship and advanced to the USA Hockey Nationals. He has also coached U16 and U18 teams in the program. Served as assistant coach at Austin Prep School for 10 years.
Coach Gordon brings over 15 years of coaching experience, which includes being the Head Coach at Pingree since 2018. From '14-'18 he was an Assistant Coach at Endicott College and before that he coached junior hockey for the Junior Bruins, and other numerous junior, College, and Semi-professional levels.
Gordon played two seasons professionally, in Europe and in the U.S. He played two seasons at the University of Southern Maine (USM) where he was a finalist for the Joe Concannon Award for the best American-born player in the NCAA Division II/III ranks. He compiled 64 points over his two seasons with USM, which was highlighted by his senior season when he ranked as the regular-season leading scorer for the ECAC East/NESCAC. Gordon went on top play two seasons in the Hockey East at UMass Amherst. He is a Pingree School alum, '04, and was named a first-team Division II Prep School All-Star.
Gordon earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Maine in 2009. Coach Gordon helped move 11 players to NCAA Division I programs and 24 players to the Division III ranks while coaching junior hockey for three seasons.
Coach Gordon also runs his own skating and skills company called ProSkill Development. Additionally, he runs team skill sessions for many of the surrounding programs on the North Shore in the Fall.
Alek Vienneau has a deep-rooted passion for hockey that began in his hometown of Medford, MA, where he spent countless hours skating on local ponds. His dedication to the sport shone through during his time at Austin Prep High School, where he not only led the league in points but was also named Catholic Conference MVP. His talent was recognized by Hockey Night in Boston, where he earned a spot on the prestigious All-Scholastic team.
Alek's love for the game didn’t stop at ice hockey; he also transitioned his skills to roller hockey, where he continues to compete in tournaments each summer. For over a decade, he has shared his expertise and passion with young players, coaching kids with a strong emphasis on teamwork and sportsmanship.
With his wealth of experience and enthusiasm, Alek is fully committed to guiding the 2017 Americans Elites through an exciting and successful season.
Kyle is a native of Revere, MA. He currently resides in Peabody, MA with his wife Ashley and three boys (Cameron, Connor & Colton).
Kyle had very successful Division 1 High School hockey career at Revere High School (1996-2000). He has extensive coaching experience at all levels of youth hockey including as an on ice instructor in the USA/MASS Hockey Player Development Series.
Along with being the 2016 Elite Head Coach, he is also the Head Coach of the 2014 Elite team. Kyle has a passion for teaching the game, developing skill and believes in creating a fun environment where his players love coming to the rink. Kyle has been a great addition to the Americans staff with a strong belief in our development model.
Coach Gistis will begin his 2nd season as head coach with the Americans. He has coached at many different levels and is currently an assistant coach with the Pingree School Boys Varsity Hockey program. Before joining Pingree, Gistis was an assistant coach with the Winchester Girls’ Varsity High School team and the U16 Bay State Breakers boys’ team. As a player, coach Gistis played his prep school hockey at Tabor Academy where he participated in two Elite 8 tournaments. Following Tabor, Coach Gistis matriculated to Trinity College where he was a member of the 2003 NESCAC championship team. In addition to coaching hockey at Pingree, coach Gistis is a History teacher and coaches tennis. He lives locally with his wife and three children. Coach Gistis philosophy of respect for each other and the game, individual skill development, and team building will be a great addition to our coaching staff.

Tim Warner is a native of Waltham, MA and currently resides in Wakefield with his wife Alicia, sons Dougie and Charlie, and daughter Abby.
Tim played his High School hockey at Arlington Catholic and then two years for Avon Old Farms, where he won the New England Prep School Championship and he earned playoff MVP honors. Tim went on to play Division 1 college hockey at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. At UMASS Amherst, his teams were the building blocks for the now nationally ranked program. Throughout his career, Tim played on many elite level teams, playing with and competing against the best players in North America and Europe.
Tim is a great addition to our Americans coaching staff. His passion for coaching, teaching, and developing young players fits perfectly with our Boston Americans development model.

Joey grew up in Malden, MA. At age 16 he moved up to Quebec City to play for the Quebec Remparts of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League where he lived with and played for NHL Hall of Famer, Patrick Roy. Joey was a member of the 2006 Memorial Cup Championship Team where he played alongside current NHL stars Marc Edouard Vlasic of the San Jose Sharks and Alexander Radulov of the Dallas Stars. Joey was also drafted in the 2nd round of the 2006 NHL draft, #46 by the LA Kings. This will be Joey's 7th season as head coach of the 2012 Elite's. Joey now lives in Peabody, MA with his wife and three children. Joey brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our Americans coaching staff.

Matthew Wilson was the leading scorer during his high school hockey career at Melrose High and a Middlesex League All Star in 1993. He later went on to the University of New Hampshire where he stayed active playing in the Intramural Hockey League. His love for the game of hockey only increased when his children began to skate. He has been involved as a head coach for his children in hockey, baseball, and soccer for the past six years. Matt has been a part of the original American's coaching staff and is will begin his 7th year as Head Coach of the 2011 Elite team. He is extremely dedicated to the kids and passionate about teaching them the game of hockey. He is committed to developing the team’s hockey skills and hopes to create a positive environment for them as well.
