Girls Program Director, Skills Instructor

Seth Goodrich

Seth Goodrich, who has spent the past 5 seasons as the director and skills instructor for the North Shore Vipers has been named as the Director of the Boston Americans Girls program. Seth hails from Salisbury, Vermont, and played high school hockey for both Salisbury for two seasons and then Trinity-Pawling his junior and senior year. After a postgraduate season with the Green Mountain Glades in the EJHL, Seth attended St. Anselm College where he played four years of varsity hockey and was named captain both his junior and senior years. After graduation, he worked at the Breakaway Ice Center as coach and skills director for the North Shore Vipers programs. In 2011 Seth accepted the role of Boys Varsity Head Coach and Math teacher at the Hoosac School. Seth later returned to Breakaway Ice Center as program director of the North Shore Vipers.

During his tenure as program director the Vipers emerged as a perennial Tier I contender at the state and national level. Seth directed and coached teams to a Mass State Championship and most recently, a USA Hockey National Championship. Seth is also the founder of Goodrich Hockey School and has trained and developed over 40 NCAA Division I and III players and commits, including 6 Hockey East and ECAC commits this season.

Alexa Hingston

Alexa returns to the Boston Americans for her second season as the head coach of the U14 team.

Alexa played high school hockey for Austin Prep and graduated in 2007. Alexa went on to play her College hockey at Saint Anselm, captaining the Hawks in both her Junior and Senior seasons. After graduating in 2011, she began her coaching career with the Boston Shamrocks. Alexa returned to Austin Prep as an assistant coach from 2014-2017, winning the the state championship in 2015.  Alexa moved on to coach Reading High School in 2017 and is currently in her third season as the women's Varsity Head Coach.

U12 - Blue

Deric Polles

Deric grew up in Salem, MA and attended Bishop Fenwick High School where he was a four-year varsity starter and captain his senior year. Following a successful high school hockey career, Deric went on to play his freshman year at Bentley University. Some of Deric’s best life lessons were learned and developed in the ice rink and sharing these experiences is what drives Deric’s passion for coaching.

Deric has been coaching youth hockey for five years in the Danvers Youth Hockey program. Most recently, he served as the head coach of the North Shore All-Star team in the NEHL.

Deric and his wife Shawna reside in Danvers, MA with their two children.

Katie Allen

Katie returns to the Americans for her second season as the head coach for the U12 team.

Katie grew up playing youth hockey in New Jersey and went on to play prep-school hockey at Pomfret School in Connecticut.   Katie was a standout at Pomfret, named captain her Senior year.  Allen was recruited by several DI colleges including St. Lawrence University, but chose a different academic route and played club hockey at SLU. Katie has been coaching hockey, as well as soccer and lacrosse for the last 12 years.

Jess Piracini

Jess returns to the Boston Americans for as the U12 head coach and her fourth season coaching with the program.

Jess Piracini grew up in Tewksbury, MA and played club hockey throughout her youth career. Jess decided to attend Arlington Catholic High School and was a four year member of the varsity team. In her senior season, she played club hockey under Boston Americans Director, Seth Goodrich. Throughout her senior season, she was recruited by perennial powerhouse Norwich University. At Norwich, Jess was a Health Science major and played four years on the women’s hockey team. From 2017 – 2019, she helped her team win 3 NEHC league Championships. In 2018, Jess helped Norwich capture the Division 3 National Championship. Jess graduated in May of 2019 and currently resides in Tewksbury, MA.

Emmalee Forristall

Emmalee grew up in Weston, Florida playing club hockey for the Golden Wolves of Pembroke Pines, Florida.  She went on to play four years of club hockey at Stonehill College and served as Captain her senior year and helped lead the team to its first playoff berth in program history. While in school, she coached private and small group hockey lessons on the South Shore. Emmalee graduated in May of 2022 and is now pursuing a master’s degree in Sports Administration and Athlete Performance and Development at Boston College and is a part of the Boston Bruins 2022-2023 Amateur and Pro Scouting team through their mentorship program this season.
