Congratulations to our 2011 Elite Boston Americans on winning the CAN/AM Challenge Cup this past weekend.
The Boston Americans went 3-1 in the tournament, losing only the Elite 9 division rival, the New Hampshire Avalanche. The Americans fell to the New Hampshire Avalanche in Round Robin play, but they had the opportunity to play them again in the championship. The New Hampshire Avalanche are currently the top ranked team in the Elite 9 2011 standings. The Americans also defeated the Northstars Hockey Club and the Auroa Tigers on their way to the championship.
Goalie, David Belanger recorded a shutout in their win over the Auroa Tigers Finnegan Dempsey led the tournament in both points, goals, points per game and game winning goals with 6 points total and 5 goals. His teammate Brenon Grammer finished as the fourth leading scorer in the tournament.
